Jess advocated alongside families in the hospital setting for 10 years. As a labor and delivery RN and witness to over 1000 births, she worked to change the system from within by challenging policies and status quo, and modeling evidence based care. She has always loved supporting families who desire low intervention birth, and it was her honor to protect their sacred space, stand up for their rights, and encourage them to ask questions.She is a mother of three, a homesteader in Northern Idaho, education director at The Matrona, and a birth photographer.
